NOVEMBER 2011 ELECTION

The citizens of King County Fire District 40 elected Linda Sartnurak (Position #1) and Steve Parsons (Posiiton #4) as District 40 Fire Commissioners at the November 8, 2011 general election.

Linda-Oath

Board Secretary, Deanna Gratzner administered the Oath of Office to Linda Sartnurak on November 28, 2011. Linda's election to commissioner (Position #1) completes the vacancy created when Commissioner Craig Violante moved out of the fire district. The election also establishes her as commissioner for the next six (6) years.

Linda has been a resident of the Fairwood community for over 25 years. Her goal is to provide Fire District 40 residents quality fire and lifesaving protection while being fiscally responsible to our citizens.

Steve-Oath

Steve Parsons also took his Oath of Office on November 28, 2011. Like Linda, he completes a vacancy on the board (created whenlong-time Commissioner Russ Price retired earlier this year). Steve's election completes Commissioner Price's unexpired term..

Steve has over 30 years experience in the fire service. He previously served as a fire commissioner for another King County Fire District (until his relocation to Fairwood) and protects us everyday in his employment as a firefighter at Kent Fire Department.

Linda, Charlotte, Mike, Steve, and Ronnie... are proud to serve and protect you.

Fire District 40 Commissioners are elected officials who represent the concerns and interest of you, the citizens of the community. We oversee finances, equipment, capital improvements, and general fire department operations. We meet at 4:30 PM on the second and last Thursday of each month at our Headquarters Station located at 18002 180th Ave SE.

We are always interested in what you have to say, so please feel free to attend the meetings to learn more about what is going on in your fire department. There is an opportunity at the end of the meeting to ask questions or share your ideas and concerns. If you are unable to attend, feel free to e-mail or write to us.
